I'm Riding for a reason in 2024
I am dedicated to riding as many km’s as I can to support the many South Australians impacted by cancer.
With 1 in 2 Australians diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, we all have our reason to ride. What’s yours?
Will you help me make every K count? Donate to support my ride as all the money raised through Ride for a Reason supports the work of Cancer Council SA.

2024 Ride for a reason finished
Wednesday 31st Jan Well the Cancer Council Ride for a Reason for 2024 is over today. Thanks very much to all my sponsors and supporters, together we raised $2232 for the Cancer Council, I am very pleased with that. I have ridden 860 km which is about 47 hours on the bike, 0 punctures, (I love tubeless bike tyres), 0 crashes. About 40 of those hours were spent in the Murray River National Park, which is 3 minutes by bike from home. The park is in very good nick after the flood last year, and the flora and fauna is magnificent. Only 3 snakes sighted but that's more than usual. For those interested I finished 3rd on the Leaderboard for fundrasing and 1st for kms ridden. Pretty happy with that. Thanks to you all. ShareWhy I'm riding
Wednesday 3rd Jan I am riding for a Reason again to raise money for the SA Cancer Council. Most of you will know that the Cancer Council funds research into curing cancer as well as funding Greenhill Lodge, which provides accommodation for country and interstate people needing to be in Adelaide for treatment. We all have been affected by cancer or know someone who has been. Ruth and I lost a dear friend Pam since Christmas which has inspired me to get off my arse and do some riding. I no longer have the sleek carbon racing bike I used to ride, but will do my Kms on a steel framed bike just to make it harder. Please, if you can, donate to this great cause through my fundraising page, follow the link. Thanks. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
