I want a cancer free future

In 1999, I was diagnosed with and treated for bowel cancer. I have been fortunate to have had a relatively long remission, but many family and friends have not been as lucky. To honor those people, I’ve chosen to join with other like minded people and Ride for a reason for a cancer free future.

The Cancer Council support all of us, by:

  • Investing in ground-breaking cancer research
  • Providing compassionate information and support services that reduce the practical and emotional impact of cancer
  • Empowering people to reduce their own cancer risk with prevention and screening programs.

These are difficult financial times, but cancer services still need to be provided and the Cancer Council seeks help from everyone. Donations are much needed and gratefully received, but even by sharing this message, you will be helping to spread the word of need.

Thank you for listening to my heartfelt plea.

I'm Riding for a reason in January

I am dedicating this January to ride as many km’s as I can to support the many South Australians impacted by cancer. Did you know that every day 28 South Australians hear the words ‘You have cancer’.

The money raised through Ride for a reason enables Cancer Council to fund vital prevention, research, advocacy and support programs that save lives.

With one in two Australians diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85, the need to find better ways to detect and treat cancer is real.

Donate to support my ride so together we can work towards a cancer free future! Even if you can't donate, you can share this message with your family and friends and so contribute to eradicating this dreadful disease. Thank you so much for your
