K's for cancer

When you register to Ride for a reason, every kilometre you ride can support the work of Cancer Council SA. Saving lives and supporting those impacted by cancer can be as easy as...riding a bike.

Did you know there are 31 new cancer diagnoses made each day in South Australia? That equates to more than 11,400 South Australians diagnosed every year. Set yourself a riding challenge, and make every K count.

REGISTER your target distance, RAISE funds from your cheer squad, and RIDE for those impacted by cancer.

Every kilometre counts, whether it's on the road, on a track, in a spin class or at home, every journey supports Cancer Council SA's vital work.

Sponsoring one of our Community Rides!

You’ve heard of a Sunday drive, but what about a Sunday ride? As part of Ride for a reason, we offer our participants exclusive Sunday Community Rides covering all kinds of tracks—including road, gravel and even through the Adelaide Parklands. Led by none other than Olympians Matt Glaetzer and Pat Jonker—as well as the crew from Rubber Side Down—these are a great way for our pack to rack up the K’s and tackle cancer together.

When you sponsor a Community Ride you get:

  • Logo on the website as a supporter of Ride for a reason.
  • Blog on CCSA website of workplace’s support.
  • For each member of the workplace that signs up will receive a RFAR jersey (usually they would have to raise $500).
  • Social media posts on our Cancer Council SA LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram pages of workplaces support.
  • Brand presence on the day of the Ride, where you can promote your workplace and meet the riders.

Complete your K’s together or compete!

Get a team together to take on the challenge or get competitive and pit a team or two against each other to see who can complete the most K’s.

Dollar match

Encourage your colleagues to register to ride and commit to dollar match their fundraising for a chosen day, a set amount or their overall fundraising tally.
