K's for Cancer
Every kilometre you ride on your bike can support the work of Cancer Council. Join the Ride for a reason movement.
When you ride for a reason, you don't have to do it alone—you'll be able to take part in community rides across SA. Community rides are tailored to everyone: road riders, gravel riders and social riders.
Wondering why you should take on the challenge and Ride for a reason? It’s simple. With one in two Australians expected to be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, we all have a reason to ride. By registering to Ride for a reason, setting your K’s and completing them while raising vital funds, you’ll be supporting Cancer Council SA’s life-saving cancer research, prevention, advocacy and support programs—like our Transport to Treatment service which drives regional South Australians staying at Greenhill Lodge to receive their cancer treatment at Adelaide hospitals.
“The people I drive around have to be incredibly resilient and strong—on top of dealing with a cancer diagnosis that can turn anyone’s world upside down, they’re also navigating treatment in completely unfamiliar surroundings.” Alan – Cancer Council SA Transport to Treatment Volunteer Driver
