I'm Riding for a reason in 2024

I am dedicated to riding as many Ks as I can to support the many South Australians impacted by cancer.

Cancer has had a direct impact on my family and too many friends, so this is a personal challenge for me. 

With around 1 in 2 Australians diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, we all have our reason to ride. What’s yours?

Thursday 2nd Jan
The past few months have been very busy for me so I’ve not managed to ride as much as I’d like to have. Now that I have a little time off work it’s time for me to get back on the bike and ready for a busy time of riding, improving my fitness, and raising funds for Cancer Council of SA.
I’ve started slowly with some gentler rides but have managed to now get in 3 loops of Norton/Marble/Montacute Rds (those who ride will know this loop well) as well as 1 loop to Mt Lofty. Fitness is coming back!
I’m wearing my RFAR kit each ride and it’s been great to see a few others wearing theirs as well.
Cancer has hit our family multiple times, so this is a very personal battle for me as we continue to raise funds to fight cancer, and support those with cancer as well as their family and supporters. We’re making incredible progress but there’s further to go.
