My Activity Tracking
My target 800kms
Six weeks ago I set out to ride 800km. This morning, I clocked up 824km.
With Christmas festivities, friends visiting from overseas, the heat and working, it hasn't been easy ... but Lauren's been with me every step of the way.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to the Cancer Council.
It means a lot to me that you have supported my ride which is in memory of Lauren, who lost her life four years ago just a few days before her 16th birthday.
While I'm away for the Challenge ride, I wish my teammates all the best and look forward to cheering on their efforts from afar.
Donations will be open until next weekend. If you haven't already done so, please consider supporting my ride or the incredible efforts of my team.
I'm Riding for a reason in January
And that reason is Lauren.
Four years ago our friends lost their beautiful daughter, Lauren, just a few days before her 16th birthday. Lauren was a joy to be around; a loving and special person who had her whole life in front of her.
I was lucky enough to have known Lauren from the day she was born. Watching her grow up and become a young woman was a joy; seeing her courageously battle against leukaemia was heartbreaking.
I'm riding for Lauren and other children and young people like her that face battles that no adults should ever have to face, let alone a child.
Over the next six weeks, I will ride 800kms and Lauren will be with me all the way.
Please support my ride so that we may one day have a cancer-free future.
